The Story

The Horizon 202 was launched in 1989.

About

The Horizon 202 features a 28mm f/2.8 lens, shutter speeds of 1/250–1/2 sec, and an aperture range of f/2.8–f/16. This fully mechanical, fixed-lens, fixed-focus 35mm camera uses a unique swing-lens mechanism to capture striking panoramic images with a wide, immersive field of view.

Unlike cameras such as the Hasselblad XPan, which achieve panoramas through optical cropping, the Horizon 202 employs panoramic mechanics: its lens physically rotates to expose a curved film plane from one side to the other. This movement creates continuous images that span approximately 110° to 140°, producing a distinctive cinematic perspective characteristic of classic swing-lens cameras.
